Assisting in policy and strategy
development, planning and institutional issues
Verona Groverman’s support to
projects, organisations and networks aims at clear and practical
outcomes. The support is diverse in nature but mostly concerns a
desire to strengthen their way of operation. It ranges from jointly
developing a clear strategy to assisting in the development of appropriate
roles of and linkages between institutional units. Her work often
lies at the interface between social aspects and technical aspects,
for instance, in integrated water management, natural resources
management and food security.
Verona Groverman uses
a participatory and inclusive approach to make her inputs –
both short term and long term – as sustainable as possible.
Almost 30 years of experience has resulted in strongly developed
communication and facilitation skills and in the ability to deal
with sensitivities and to bring different stakeholders on the same
line of thinking. The kind of support and approach is based on a
discussion in advance with the requesting party about the needs
and desired outcomes. The organisations asking her support are of
different kinds.
