| Facilitating
assessment and mainstreaming processes with a focus on gender and
HIV/AIDS
Verona Groverman provides
long term support for gender mainstreaming related to policy and
strategy development, , planning, capacity building, and institutional
aspects. She also gives short term inputs to strengthen capacities
of the key personnel in gender and HIV/AIDS mainstreaming and to
improve the functioning of an organisation from a gender or HIV/AIDS
perspective using a specific model for organisational assessment.
She applies different participatory methods to involve people concerned
in these processes of change. (Read more in news)
Verona Groverman has been
involved in various gender and HIV/AIDS mainstreaming processes
in which she has built up a strong ability to address different
aspects of these complex processes. Facilitating such a process
requires a combination of good insight into the actors and factors
at stake, a clear focus, proper relation building, flexibility,
and: persistence – it takes time for results to become visible
and to have impact. She is specifically capable of motivating people
and involving different stakeholders in the process.
