Verona Groverman is a
qualified trainer and facilitator with a track record of preparing,
delivering and facilitating training and workshops of different
nature and of various content. She often works at the interface
of social and technical fields, mostly with a gender focus. Her
specific capabilities lie in addressing sensitive issues such as
gender, HIV and AIDS, and in developing a programme and methods
which appeal to the participants. She is experienced in designing
and producing training materials and manuals.
Capacity building is more
than providing knowledge, insight and skills through training. Although
the process of learning is central to her approach she also aims
at practical implementation of acquired insights and skills. Verona
Groverman’s training are designed to impact the work of men
and women involved and the functioning of the organisation in which
they work. She preferably uses a sandwich model intertwining training
and reflection sessions with practical work and coaching to make
the effect more sustainable. She is a strong team player with creative
involvement of male and female participants and stakeholders.
